Questions

Fair questions, straight answers

Is the food safe?
Yes. Only KEBS-certified food businesses can sell on SAVR, bags contain same-day fresh food handled to KS EAS 39 standards, and nothing past its use-by date can be listed. Every pickup is rated, merchants below 3.5★ are reviewed, and a valid complaint gets a refund.
What exactly is in a Rescue Bag?
Whatever the kitchen has left — that's the point, and the fun. The category (Bakery, Café Meal, Buffet, Deli, Premium) tells you the theme, the merchant tells you the vibe, and the value is always 2–3× what you pay. Dietary filters help you dodge what you can't eat.
How do I pay and pick up?
Reserve in the app, approve the M-Pesa STK push (or pay by card), then collect within the pickup window — usually early evening. Show the QR code on your phone at the counter and you're done. No cash changes hands.
What does it cost my business?
Listing is free. SAVR takes an 18% commission only when a bag sells — you keep 82% of revenue that was headed for the bin. Early Nairobi merchants start with 3 commission-free months, and onboarding happens over WhatsApp in about 45 minutes.
When and where do you launch?
Nairobi, Q3 2026 — starting with the CBD, Upper Hill, Westlands, Kilimani and Karen corridors, then the rest of the city. Mombasa and Kampala follow. Waitlist members get first access and launch-week perks.
